My Resume and Areas of Interest
About Me.
My Background
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Finance, and my career has largely focused on real estate finance, credit markets, and investment management. Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with investors, lenders, and other professionals across the capital markets landscape, particularly within the U.S. private lending and real estate investment space.
Early in my career, I became very interested in understanding how capital actually moves through markets — how lending conditions change, how investors react to risk, and how broader economic trends influence investment opportunities. That curiosity gradually expanded my interests beyond real estate into capital markets, macroeconomics, and investment strategy more broadly.
What I Do
In practice, my work involves analyzing credit markets, structuring real estate debt investments, and building research and models to better understand what is happening in the market and why it matters. I spend a lot of time tracking interest rates, credit markets, and housing trends, and thinking about how these things connect and influence real-world investment decisions.
More broadly, I’ve always just been interested in analyzing things and understanding how systems work — whether that’s real estate, credit markets, public markets, or business problems in general. I enjoy working with data, building models, and taking complex information and turning it into something that is clear and useful for decision-making. A big part of what I do is take a lot of moving pieces — interest rates, liquidity, asset prices, and market trends — and try to make sense of how they fit together and what they might mean going forward.
How I Spend My Time
A big part of my time is spent building relationships and growing my professional network, which is something I genuinely enjoy. I like talking with people in the industry, hearing how they see the world, sharing ideas, and looking for ways to work together. Over time, I’ve found that many of the most interesting opportunities come from conversations and relationships, not just analysis, so I try to spend a lot of time on the people side of the business. I’m also naturally very curious and tend to spend a lot of my time learning and analyzing things. I enjoy working with data, building models, learning Python, and finding better ways to understand and explain what is happening in markets and businesses. I’ve always been interested in analytics broadly — not just in real estate, but in markets, business strategy, and how different systems work.
I spend a lot of time studying interest rates, credit markets, real estate, and broader macroeconomic trends, and how these forces influence investment decisions and business opportunities. Over time, I became very interested in using data and technology not just for analysis, but for decision-making, particularly in private credit and real estate finance where better information and better analysis can lead to better investment decisions and better risk management. At the end of the day, I’m just someone who enjoys learning, building, analyzing, and meeting interesting people who are working on hard problems in business and investing.
Long-Term Focus
Professionally, I am most interested in opportunities that sit at the intersection of investments, strategy, and business development. I enjoy understanding markets, building relationships, communicating ideas, and helping investment platforms grow.
Long term, my goal is to continue working in investment-related roles where I can combine market analysis, strategic thinking, and relationship-building to help grow investment platforms, develop new opportunities, and contribute to thoughtful investment decision-making.
At the end of the day, I am simply very interested in markets, investing, and building businesses, and I consider myself fortunate to work in a field where there is always something new to learn.
